Have you heard of Strongbody Apparel? This activewear brand has been in business since 2012, has completed two successful Kickstarter campaigns and was on season 12 of Dragon’s Den, where it scored a deal with Joe Mimran, the founder of Club Monaco and Joe Fresh (talk about a success story)!
Meghan Conyers, CEO, launched the label as a menswear brand. Starting the company with only a $5,000 credit card loan, and with no previous experience in textiles or design, she spent the next two years researching and testing her designs. In 2014 Strongbody Apparel was successfully launched to the public through a Kickstarter campaign.
We recently tried several of these luxury minimalist activewear pieces ourselves—our sleek signature bra and leggings set garnered plenty of compliments (not to mention, "Where did you get those from?!" at our yoga studio. They performed perfectly, too. We’re now looking forward to getting our hands on (and bodies into) the brand’s new Apollo Collection; inspired by space, the range features a bra and legging set with the chic, minimalist aesthetic that has become Strongbody’s trademark. Normally retailing for $162, the super-soft Apollo set is available for only $68 to the first 500 orders; claim one of those sets for your very own here (no dilly-dallying)!
Not only do we love this activewear line, we also love its overarching motto: to get all of us ladies to “step into our power," strong bodies and all! —Noa Nichol
