Below, Marie-Mai tells us about the collaboration, empowerment and hair secrets! —Rachel Johnston
Congratulations on becoming the new KÉRASTASE PARIS muse! How does the brand align with you?
Thank you! I am so thrilled about this natural association! I have been using Kérastase products for 10 years now on a daily basis. To be able to represent a brand that I love so much is a true honour! I am proud!
What does being a woman mean to you?
To me, femininity means being confident and empowered. The last few years, as I discovered motherhood, I also discovered what womanhood meant to me. I feel more feminine than ever.
When do you feel most empowered?
I would say that I am true believer in the Girl Power wave that’s happening right now 😉 I think that my music reflects my beliefs. When I am on stage, it’s definitely where I feel stronger and confident.
Really, have you ever had a bad hair day?
Oh yes! It happens just like everybody! Good thing, though, that my best friend is my hairdresser, haha!
What are your top tips for gorgeous hair?
I’ve had the same routine for years now! I will make sure to apply a mask every four shampoos. At the moment, I love Extentioniste. Then, to tame my flyaways, I use a beach spray like Eau de Vagues and I finish every styling session with Sérum Thérapiste, which is perfect for over-processed hair.
