Hi Leslie! Tell us a little bit about you and what do you do!
I’m a lifestyle blogger and founder of a digital marketing agency, Taurus Media Inc. I live in Kitsilano with my husband, where I spend my time working, cooking Italian food and strolling the many beaches just a short walk away.
How do you use your platform to impact those who follow you?
Over the past five years I’ve built a loyal, engaged community of people who visit my Instagram feed and website to hear what I have to say. I pride myself on being able to provide insightful and honest reviews, from beauty products worth investing in to places to add to one’s travel list. I only share brands and products that I would recommend to my family and friends and that I genuinely enjoy using. I take my role as an influencer seriously, fully realizing that I have a responsibility to my readers. A Life Well Consumed was born from a desire to connect to people, to inspire them on a multitude of topics and to make them realize that they, too, can enjoy all that life has to offer!
What’s your personal-style/beauty mantra?
My personal beauty mantra is to get my eight hours of sleep! No joke, I don’t run as well on anything less. There’s also never a day where I’m not wearing sunscreen, trying to keep those wrinkles at bay as long as I can.
Pantone’s Colour of the Year is Living Coral. How does this hue speak to you and any plans to incorporate it into your personal life in 2019?
I’ve been obsessed with coral for a few years now, having a few accessories and home items in this colour hue. To say I’m excited for all the options out there this year is an understatement! Living Coral will be added to my style (hello all the fun spring and summer accessories) and my home decor to add little pops of colour to my space. If you’re not sure about committing to such a vibrant accent colour, I suggest starting small with a couple of throw pillows for your couch or bed.
Other than Living Coral, what’s your all-time favourite colour?
Having a background in graphic design, my favourite colour is always changing. But if I had to choose, Pantone’s Hot Pink is my other all-time fave. I try to match all my lipstick shades to this one.
