Ready to rock out and party this weekend? This Saturday July 6th marks the ninth annual Khatsahlano Street Party: a one-day, 10-block festival along Vancouver’s West 4th Avenue from Burrard to Macdonald Street with tonnes of live music, beer and whisky gardens, vendors, activations, sales and fun! eat. Snack your way through 60-plus food trucks, 12 patios and food vendors galore!
work out. Stop by the Spartan Obstacle Course at Larch Street and test your speed and agility on this special course! Or, take a spin with Soul Cycle, do some yoga with Semperviva, test your balance at a Barre Class and stretch it out with a full day of sweat scheduled at Lululemon.
shop. With more than 350 vendors and merchants on site, there are plenty of sales to shop, wheels to spin and treats to sample.
watch. Visit the West 4th Living Stage for yoga, fitness class, fashion shows, chef cooking demos and a mixology competition. Get #West4thReady at the Touch Up Corner at Yew and West 4th; complimentary nail art, hair and makeup touch ups will be available to prep you for striking a pose in front of the photo wall!
khats kids. The festival is full of fun for littles with kid entertainment on stage all day—or sign your rug rats up for the pie-eating contest, make some Khats Crafts, get their faces painted, play games and more!
whisky and tacos. Clearly a match made in street party heaven! Visit the Auchentoshan Whisky Garden on West 4th Between Burrard and Cypress Street to enjoy a refreshing summer whisky cocktail and delicious Romer’s tacos—the perfect combination for a July day.
music. This year Khatsahlano will feature a whopping 50 bands on eight stages! The site will be bookended by two main stages: one at Burrard and the other at Macdonald Street. Get prepped by checking the stage schedule here or give the lineup a listen now on Spotify.
get there. With two free bike valets, plenty of evo parking, mobi bike stations in abundance and a new car service, Kater, in full dedicated swing, there are plenty of ways to get to Khats this year. Once on site be sure to stop by the Kater VIP tent at Macdonald Street and try your hand at Kateroke: karaoke in your Kater ride complete with microphones, iPads and disco lights!
