August 28, 2019

Can a teddy bear make a difference? You bet it can!

For the past 11 years a plush bear has found its way onto the shelves of Toys"R"Us Canada and in so doing has helped to raise millions for seriously ill children in 2018 alone. Through the Collectible Starlight Bear program, a child who is or has been seriously ill recently, designs a teddy bear, which is manufactured and made available for sale to all caring Canadian families through a partnership between Starlight Canada and Toys"R"Us Canada. Proceeds are given to help thousands of other seriously ill children and their families.

This year’s collectible bear “Super Bear” ($20), designed by a five-year-old named Madison from Pickering, Ontario, who has cerebral palsy, will help create more magic, bring joy, laughter and brighten the lives of more children across Canada. —Vita Daily
