With nightly live music and entertainment, there’s nearly no better place to immerse oneself in the arts than the luxe living-room-like lobby of the Fairmont Pacific Rim.
Now, the hotel is playing host to the western Canadian premier of Reflections: The Art of Bernie Taupin—an exhibition featuring 25 works by the visual artist and world-renowned song writer. From September 13th through October 6th, 2019, check out a collection of original works created as a tribute to Taupin’s 50-year partnership with Elton John. Its subject matter is inspired by hit songs the two created together honouring their music in a visual form and reflecting on their five decades of hit songs. Additional Taupin works on the second floor will make up a gallery wall collection, including a mixture of original artwork, limited-edition prints and monotype pieces, all inspired by Taupin’s song writing—and all available for purchase, with autographed limited-ed prints starting at $2,500.
The best part? A special series of cocktails created by The Lobby Lounge, inspired by the works on display and available for a limited time through the exhibition. Go, see, sip. —Vita Daily
