Hi Vicki! Tell us a little bit about you and what do you do!

I fancy myself as a Jane-of-all-trades type in the fashion industry. My 9-to-5 is running operations and logistics for a local fashion brand, I run a blog, work wardrobe for concert tours, and, of course, contribute to Vita Daily and run their social media accounts! All of my side hustles have given me the opportunity try things and meet people I never imagined possible, from working wardrobe for Madonna to attending NYFW, my schedule can be a bit hectic at times but always exciting!

How do you use your platform to impact those who follow you?

I love sharing the “behind the scenes” aspect of all the different jobs I have. It’s not all glitz and glamour and I find my audience is receptive to knowing about what it takes to actually work in the industry. I talk openly about the long hours, self-motivation and admin work required to try and do it all. I always love reviewing products that seem too gimmicky to be effective and sharing my opinions with my followers to aid them with their purchasing decisions.

What’s your personal style mantra?

Have fun and don’t overthink it. If you want to wear a bold colour, print or silhouette, go for it!

Ah, autumn! What are some of your favourite things to do, in the city and beyond, once the cooler weather hits?

I love checking out maker markets! They are a great way to not only discover new brands, but to meet the people behind the brand. Markets like Made in the 604 and First Pick help me feel connected to the community while being able to support other creatives and locally produced products that may not be easy to find through boutiques or online.

So many animal prints to love this season! Which one is your go-to, and which are you dying to try?

I will always have a soft spot (pardon my pun) for leopard print. Something about a leopard print feels like a neutral and less intimidating and easier to wear than other animal prints. Right now I am loving the python print trend, specifically in footwear and accessories!
