Makeup artist Kanako Tekase used all Fenty Beauty products to create Rihanna’s glam November Vogue cover look, starting with Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Primer and Pro Filt’r Mattifying Primer to prevent shine and pave the way for smooth makeup application. She then applied Pro Filt’r Hydrating Longwear Foundation for a perfectly smooth, natural-looking finish and Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Concealer to brighten Rihanna’s under-eye area and conceal any redness around her nose.
Using the Brow MVP Ultra Fine Brow Pencil & Styler in Light Brown and Dark Brown, she defined and filled in Rihanna’s brows, using the innovative paddle brush end to blend and comb brows into place for a polished yet natural look. Kanako used Match Stix Matte Skinstick in Truffle, a few shades deeper than Rihanna’s complexion, to contour and define her face, followed by the Sun Stalk’r Instant Warmth Bronzer in Bajan Gyal and Coco Naughty to warm up her complexion for a sun-sculpted look. To achieve a subtle radiance, she then used a combination of Match Stix Shimmer Skinsticks in Starstruck and Champagne Heist on the high points of her face. For Rihanna’s eyes, Kanako used shades Henne Sea and Cumin Get It from the Moroccan Spice Eyeshadow Palette in the crease and lash line to define her eyes, Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in Afternoon Snack on the center of the lids, and Match Stix Shimmer Skinstick in Champagne Heist on the inner corners to really enhance the eyes. On Rihanna’s lips she applied Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer in Hot Chocolit, a shimmering rich brown shade from the NEW! Glossy Posse Mini Gloss Bomb Set.
Lastly, Kanako set the look without any flashback by applying Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Setting Powder in Honey and then used the shade Banana under her eyes to brighten. —Vita Daily
