Have you ever been tempted by your favourite foodie baking Instagram accounts? Now is your chance to satisfy your holiday cravings for a good cause. Five local Vancouver female bakers have united to auction off six cookie boxes to benefit the Greater Vancouver Food Bank.
The 2nd Annual Great Charity Cookie Swap is organized by Jenell Parsons of The Pie Hole; this year, she’s joined by Fanny Lam, a self-taught baker and photographer, Rosie Daykin, owner of Butter Baked Goods, Tessa Huff, a professional cake designer, cookbook author and photographer, and Kylie Mangles of Letterpress Bakery. Their offerings, respectively, are apple caramel crumble pie cookies, assorted holiday shortbread, snowflake empire cookies, vanilla Nutella macarons and decorated sugar cookies.
Each baker will donate her time and baked goods for the cause. Full of 30 cookies, the online cookie-box auction, live from December 12th to 16th, 2019, with all proceeds going to the Food Bank, is an opportunity to do good, and enjoy some yummy treats this holiday season! —Vita Daily
