When it comes to innovative cosmetics and inclusive shade range, Fenty Beauty takes the cake (without ever looking cakey!). We recently attended (virtually, of course) a Fenty Face Fresh masterclass with Fenty’s global makeup artist, Priscilla Ono, for some tips and tricks that she uses on Rihanna herself and how to create the perfect no-makeup-makeup look. —Vicki Duong
natural-looking flush. When it comes to adding blush Priscilla recommends using the new Fenty Cheeks Out Blush. This cream blush melts into your skin to provide a natural “blush-from-within” look that is buildable and versatile. Apply on the apple of your cheeks for a youthful glow and along the contour line for more of a chiselled effect. The cream can also be used for a touch of colour on your lips.
adaptability is key. Application can drastically change a makeup look and there is no one-size-fits-all for every occasion. For photoshoots, Priscilla opts for hydrating foundations, which give a dewier finish that photographs better, and skips powder that can cause flashback. For red-carpet looks her main objective is to be able to "set it and forget it" because she may not be able to touch up the look throughout the event.
full brows. One of the trends that Priscilla loves most (and is so easy to achieve) ATM is feathered eyebrows. The look is known as "soap brows" because soap is often used for its ease of use, affordability and simplicity.
wear it with confidence. Makeup trends come and go but confidence is key to pulling off any look. Priscilla recommends going for a monochromatic makeup look whenever you’re experimenting with a shade you might be inexperienced with, but emphasizes that confidence is the ideal way to put your best look forward.
