We spotted this waterfront development in its late stages of building while joyfully jet-skiing on Cultus Lake, B.C.—just an hour-and-a-half’s drive from Vancouver—last summer, and it completely caught our eye … so much so, that we knew we had to report on it upon completion!
Well, that day has come, and the residences at Lakeside Cultus Lake are, for those fortunate to snap one up, finally move-in ready. These homes are about as waterfront as it gets (think: right at the lake’s edge), offering unparalleled views of the most stunning and pristine setting and a private dock with an on-water recreational pavilion and a boat slip for each home (swimming and boating fans rejoice!).
And then there are the interiors: inspired by the spectacular natural setting that surrounds without neglecting the importance of elegant modern living, finishes and features (as imagined by award-winning interior designer Debbie Evans) include marble countertops with waterfall returns, wood and other artistic, unique wall treatments, overheight ceilings, gas fireplaces, manual roller blinds (with living, dining and master windows pre-wired for power-blind upgrades) and generous, barbecue-friendly decks (but of course!).
Lakeside Cultus Lake was developed and completed by Jim Young, who’s been coming to Cultus Lake since he was 10 years old and is now enjoying making memories in the area with his own grandkids. In other words, there’s a whole lot of heart poured into this remarkable residence! —Vita Daily
