There’s no better way to say “Oh Canada” than with an excellent Caesar in hand. It’s classic; it’s delicious and … this one comes with a little appetizer in the glass. —Kaylesha Penner
Classic Canadiana Caesar
4 oz vodka
4 cups Clamato juice (or you can use premade Walter’s Caesar Mix; if you do this, ignore the indredients below until celery salt)
1 tbsp Worcestershire
2 tsp horseradish (more or less to taste)
Celery salt
Lime, cut into slices
Ice cubes
Melting chocolate
Bacon
Pepper
Optional fixins: pepperocinis, banana peppers, pepperoni sticks, olives, celery stalk
Cook bacon until crispy. Melt chocolate in the microwave, mixing until well melted. Lay bacon onto a plate and coat with the melted chocolate. Place in freezer until ready to serve. Rim two glasses with the lime wedge, so they become nice and sticky. Pour celery salt onto a plate and rub the rims onto the salt to get a nice thick coating on the rims. In a martini shaker, add ice, clamato, vodka, Worcestershire, horseradish and lime juice and shake until well mixed, but not too long so that the ice begins to melt. Pour into prepared glasses. Season with pepper. Add one slice of chocolate-covered bacon to the glass. Add desired fixins on a skewer or toothpick.
