Nespresso Just Became Even More Eco-Friendly

September 2, 2020

We already love how eco-friendly Nespresso Canada is, but today we heard word that the coffee company is announcing two new earth-preserving sustainability initiatives!

First up, new capsules that are made using 80 per cent recycled aluminum; made of a thinner aluminum foil, each will use 9.2 per cent less aluminum material and will be 8 per cent lighter. The first coffee capsules will be for the Original Line Master Origin Colombia. Second, new fully recyclable boxes for Nespresso machines, which are made from 95 per cent recycled material. The new boxes will be dedicated to the Vertuo Next series of machines initially. However, by the end of 2021, Nespresso aims to have both initiatives extended to all ranges of its coffee capsules and machines.

The two initiatives will definitely make it easier than ever for Nespresso lovers to reduce their environmental footprint. Nespresso is continually focused on improving the sustainability of its products and it has been committed to enhancing recycling solutions for over 25 years.
