Learn How To Make Your Own Gelato (Or Sorbetto)

September 14, 2020

Homemade gelato? Yes, please! Uno Gelato is restarting its popular Gelato 101 seminars this fall—fun and tasty, seasonally themed classes designed for “cone-noisseurs” and beginners alike, no experience needed, where you’ll learn to make artisan sorbetto or gelato on site, in the classic Italian method.

Led by Maestro Andrés Bermudez, these sweet and safe sessions are limited to six people ($59 each) and will be held at Uno’s Kitsilano location in Vancouver. Included: an entertaining, hands-on learning experience; a pint of the gelato or sorbetto made that evening to take home; a cone or cup of choice during the visit; and an extensive (yesss) sampling of Uno Gelato’s current flavours. Private group classes are also available for booking. Temperatures will be checked, social distancing will be in place and masks and gloves will be worn.

With seasonal themes for the 2020-21 autumn and winter semesters ranging from pumpkin pecan cheesecake gelato and summerland peach sorbetto (October) to rum raisin gelato and lemon basil sorbetto (November), apple kiwi sorbetto and chocolate Grand Marnier gelato (December) and more in the New Year, you may want to sign up for all the sessions! —Vita Daily
