5 Picks From Aldo’s Love Planet Collection

September 30, 2020

When it comes to updating our fall wardrobe we aim to stay in step with the latest trends while keeping sustainability in mind. Luckily, Aldo Shoes’ newest collection, Love Planet, is designed with Mother Earth in mind. Here are our five favourite items from the new collection. —Vicki Duong

These Veinate hoops ($18) are made up of 90 per cent recycled iron, are available in silver and gold and can elevate any look, day or night. A go-to classic style that works in conjunction with a casual and dressed up look, these earrings are a new staple for us.

The RPPL sneaker ($90) is back this season in three colours (bone, white and black) that will seamlessly fit into your existing wardrobe. Each pair is made of recycled plastics and helps clean and filter 107 litres of polluted water.

For those on the go, a backpack is a versatile upgrade of the daily handbag. We are loving the Rella backpack ($60) in a nice nude pink made of waterborne polyurethane. With a drawstring closure and convenient front pocket, this lightweight pack will be your new favourite way to carry all of your autumn essentials.

When it comes to eye protection you can never go wrong with a pair of cat-eye sunnies. The Boskear sunglasses ($30) give your specs some serious style while blocking the sun, plus every pair is made of recycled water bottles.

No fall look would be complete without a pair of combats, and Aldo delivers with the Reilly boot ($150.) The boots are military inspired with a block heel and lace closure and feature CleanStep, a sustainably produced material made from algae that will slowly be introduced to the regular collection at Aldo Shoes.
