neal’s yard remedies natural defence hand spray. From the famed British brand ($15 at Whole Foods) we expect nothing less than a lovely blend of essential oils (think thyme, lavender and vetiver) and witch hazel. Smells more like a spa than a sanitizer.
ecological hand sanitizer gel. This well-priced Canadian brand ($6 at Shoppers Drug Mart) is non-alcohol, paraben-free, vegan and contains skin-loving aloe. Starts sticky at first but don’t panic—it quickly dries to a nice, clean-hands finish.
ag hands-free sanitizer gel. When the pandemic had this hair product company shifting gears to create a new hand sanitizer as well, we applauded. This gel ($13) claims to kill 99.9% of germs but without drying due to vitamin E, glycerine and aloe vera. =
dr bronner’s peppermint organic hand sanitizer spray. One of America’s top-selling organic fair-trade personal-care brands proudly launched this item in Canada recently. Familiar with the lavender version of this spray? Then you’ll love this clean new minty scent ($6 at Choices Market).
rocky mountain soap co. nomad hand sanitizer gel. This Jasmine-scented gel ($18) contains mushroom-derived Chitosan that keeps your hands from over-drying, plus the package is pretty enough to perch on your desk. Canadian-made, too.
pacific refill club lemongrass hand sanitizer spray. An absolute pick-me-up every time you spritz, this non-drying formula ($8) is used exclusively by Science World, Fairmont Hotela and the Vancouver Tennis Club.
