5 Favourite Holiday Scents

December 11, 2020

Whether its pine needles, a crackling fire or freshly baked cookies, certain scents are forever tied to the holiday season. Below are some of our favourite products with seasonal scents to make this Christmas merry and bright. —Vicki Duong

nala care. When it comes to treating our underarms we like to keep our deodorant fuss free. With Nala Care we don’t have to sweat it when it comes to quality ingredients. Always made without aluminum and toxins, Nala Care ups its game with limited-edition holiday scents Winter Mint and Winter Spice ($29 each) with the addition of copaiba oil, a natural anti-inflammatory with a calming and de-stressing effect.

live clean. We are all washing our hands more often, so why not make it festive? Live Clean has released five different holiday scents of its signature Liquid Hand Soap and Foaming Hand Soap ($5 each.) Enriched with vitamin E, your hands will be left clean but never stripped of their natural moisture (a win for drier months!) Our personal fave? The Frosted Apple smells just like a warm cup of cider.

the body shop. When it comes to holiday scents The Body Shop has it down to a science. This year the holiday collection includes three scents—Winter Jasmine, Festive Berry and Warm Vanilla—and there is a trio of hand creams ($20) available if you’re undecided on what scent you like most. Alternatively, buying the Christmassy Hand Cream Trio saves you 30 per cent on each hand cream, which can be split up and transformed into stocking stuffers.

mifa & co. While you may not have a fireplace to get cosy next to, lighting the Cardamom Noir candle ($59) from MIFA and Co. might be the next best thing. With notes of cardamom, vetiver and cedarwood, each soy candle is scented with pure essential oils without any synthetic fragrances. The best part? After its impressive 55-hour burn time, you’ll be left with a beautiful heavy black glass vessel perfect for repurposing.

pukka herbs. No holiday scented round-up would be complete without peppermint. For a twist on the traditional sweetened peppermint flavour, we’ve been sipping on Pukka Herbs’ Peppermint & Licorice tea ($12). This unexpected blend of flavours is seemingly “mint to be”—and the perfect way to unwind at the end of a long day since it’s completely caffeine free.
