Vicki’s May Beauty Favourites

May was full of showers and new products discovered. With summer days just around the corner, I find myself drawn to bronzy makeup products, bold hues and warm-weather friendly skin care. Here are some of my favourite products—all new to me—discovered in the month of May. —Vicki Duong

tata harper superkind softening cleanser. While Tata Harper Skincare is always made with clean ingredients in mind, they also know that not all clean skincare products are suitable for all skin needs. Enter their new Superkind line, formulated with reactive skin in mind. I have been loving their new softening cleanser ($115) that foams slightly while removing buildup and impurities while staying ultra-gentle and completely fragrance free.

indeed labs nanobronze bronzing drops. One of my favourite things about the temps rising is a great bronzy look, but now more than ever we all know the importance of SPF and avoiding the sun. Enter these bronzing drops ($25), an easy way to add a sun-kissed glow without the sun or damage! I love that it is customizable and I have been loving adding a few drops into my daily moisturizer for a natural finish.

clarins lip comfort oil. While we might be masking up still, that doesn’t mean we can’t hydrate our lips in the meantime. I have gone head-over-heels for the Clarins Lip Comfort Oil ($28) because it’s a lip treatment meets lip gloss meets lip primer. It can be applied prior to lipstick to prep your lips or after to give your colour a glossy finish!

cnd vinylux chance taker. Get your toes sandal ready with CND Vinylux’s long wearing formula ($12) boasting a week-long wear more durable that traditional nail polishes. What makes Vinlyux such a great at home solution for nail colour is that it requires no base coat and natural light exposure makes it more durable! My perfect summer shade right now is Chance Taker, the perfect periwinkle!

live clean cannabis body wash. With more time spent outdoors in the sun, I have been finding my skin more parched due to excess sun exposure and in dire need of moisture that isn’t too heavy. redken oil for all. With longer days my tresses are also feeling the effects of too much time in the sun. I have been reaching for the Redken Oil for All ($33) daily to seal in moisture without leaving my locks greasy plus it provides heat protection while amping up natural shine and smoothing frizzy hairs. Plus, it leaves a delightful scent that will linger for hours.
