Sea Smart School recently launched Explore The Shore, a fantastic new initiative to encourage families to get outdoors this summer and explore the local beaches.
Vancouverites can discover new outdoor locations with 30 ocean-friendly challenges. The aim: to encourage families to spend time together outside, discover local beaches and support ocean conservation. Families can also enter to win amazing prizes from local businesses. Each challenge takes between five and 45 minutes, can be done at any beach and is for kids aged three to 99! Everyone is welcome to join. Start earning badges with your family by going outside, discovering local beaches, learning and getting excited about protecting our oceans.
The best part? All proceeds further support ocean education through Sea Smart’s bursary program. Ready, set, explore the shore! —Noa Nichol
