Two notable (and VITA-fave) South Okanagan wineries, Liquidity Wines and Road 13 Vineyards, have announced new estate experiences for summer, both defined by world-class wines and the breathtaking scenery that can only be found in this part of the world at this time of year.
At Liquidity Wines, A Taste of Okanagan Falls lets you enjoy a guided flight of five estate wines, paired with views of the winery’s scenic Lucy and Allan Vineyards ($25 per guest; 45 minutes; available daily), while the Art of Food & Wine is the ultimate expression of Liquidity’s style. Alongside five elegant estate wines, relish five seasonally-minded bites—perfectly paired and ready for their Instagram close-up—prepared by chef Phil Tees ($55 per guest; 60 minutes; available Thurs-Sun). Reserve online.
Over at Road 13 Vineyards, the Golden Mile Tasting sees winemaker Barclay Robinson personally select six of his favourite estate-grown wines for you to experience while taking in views of the Black Sage Bench and Osoyoos Lake ($25 per guest; 45 minutes; available daily; beginning July 1, enjoy a BBQ roll and kettle chips for an additional $18). Starting July 1, the Vineyard’s Edge Experience offers a seat at the edge of Castle Vineyard to enjoy a flight of three estate-grown wines served with a meat or vegetarian BBQ roll and kettle chips ($35 per guest; 45 minutes; available Thurs-Sun). Reserve online. —Noa Nichol
