Experience a piece of Paris in Vancouver this summer as world-renowned French pâtisserie Ladurée unveils a new collection filled with exquisite new seasonal cakes, pastries, macarons, and decadent ice creams.
Cool down with Ladurée’s unique collection of creamy ice creams prepared in the traditional French way with the special Ladurée touch. Items include: individually boxed ice cream macarons (rose, vanilla with chocolate macaron, and raspberry sorbet with pistachio macaron); ice cream cups with a macaron shell on top in popular macaron flavours such as pistachio, rose, caramel, raspberry and chocolate; new ice cream éclairs in three flavours (vanilla, pistachio and rose) with exclusive sauces and toppings; and stunning French sundaes with fresh fruits, nuts and Chantilly. Summer additions to Ladurée’s range of cakes are all handcrafted in Vancouver by Ladurée Canada’s executive pastry chef Eulalie Hermand. The new Red Berries Pavlova features a macaron biscuit base topped with a mixed berry compote (blueberries and blackberries) and a fresh lime mascarpone cream beautifully covered by textured meringue petals. Plus, Ladurée’s famous Ispahan flavour is now available as an éclair ($11), featuring a housemade choux pastry shell filled with rose cream, lychees and decorated with fresh raspberries and delicate rose Chantilly rosettes.
In addition, Ladurée has launched a new Fleur de Soleil circular macaron box ($60 with 14 macarons; national shipping available), providing a sunny floral case for the delicious delicacies inside. Bon appetit! —Noa Nichol
