We spotted this gold palette ring on Instagram and immediately needed to know more! Created by nail artist extraordinaire Betina Goldstein, this wearable gold ring doubles as a palette, ideal for mixing the perfect hue of product. It’s part of Betina’s jewelry range, DoubleMoss, and all the items are made in Los Angeles.
As an editorial and campaign nail artist, Betina was constantly using surfaces like coffee-cup lids to mix her pigments—something that often ended up being messy, and not sustainable. This palette ring ($96 USD) was the ideal solution: a beautiful piece of jewelry designed to meet the needs of makeup and nail artists. The ring is created from solid brass and gilded in gold, making it pretty but not overly precious. The organic shape has two divots, ideal for holding nail polish, eyelash glue or makeup.
At first glance, you wouldn’t even realize it doubled as an artist palette. Just a beautiful piece of everyday jewelry. —Lyndi Barrett
