Hi Megan! When, why and how did your partnership with Shiseido come about? What made/makes it a perfect fit?
I only partner with brands that I align with in terms of values and use their product as well. Shiseido makes amazing products that were already part of my daily routine, so when a partnership presented itself it was truly a no brainer to join forces.
As an athlete, what does skin-care look like/mean for you? How does Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate 3.0 fit into your skin regime?
With my sport I spend a lot of time in the sun so I have to incorporate replenishing products in my skin-care routine. Between travel, training and aging the Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate is a must-have for getting my skin looking healthy and refreshed. It’s all natural and dries really fast so I can use it even when I am on the run!
Shiseido’s Power Is You campaign, in which you are featured, is meant to empower everyone to release their innate energy, recharge their own beauty and use their power as a beautiful force in the world. Can you tell us more about what the “power is you” messaging means to you personally?
I believe deeply in the power of each individual person; I truly think each of us can change the world. The “power is you” campaign speaks to my vision for a better world one person at a time.
How did the 2021 Tokyo Olympics this summer go for you?
The road to the Olympics has been long and filled with sorrow for our world. It has been a wonderful reprieve to return to the pitch with my teammates and pursue another medal.
