When it’s time to celebrate nine years of marriage, we know where to head: Hawksworth, for a meal that’s pure magic.
Coincidentally, this year is also the acclaimed restaurant’s 10-year anniversary, so it was a double celebration when we went to dine on Monday night. After toasting with a Pink Elephant cocktail, we opened our dinner with several starters, including the creamy, juicy, herby burrata & focaccia with heirloom tomato and EVOO, the buttery wagyu beef carpaccio, with a slight sweetness from nashi pear, and the KFC—the most mouth-korean fried cauliflower with sesame and cilantro. Main wise, it was the scallop & crispy pork belly for him, the delicate beet & goat cheese tortellini for her. And to finish, a hazelnut praline bar—rich and chocolatey, with the perfect tangy balance courtesy of a scoop of cold passion fruit ice cream.
Happy anniversary, Hawksworth! —Noa Nichol
