multi-purpose spaces. During the pandemic people asked their homes and rooms to be so much more than they had been in the past—living rooms were now utilized as offices and classrrooms, kitchens found nooks to be boardrooms and conference centres. When looking at upcoming trends, home design will centre on multi-functional spaces that will serve people who will be working both at home and the office.
ditching the tv. Designers are seeing a trend towards ditching the TV in living room. People are choosing to get rid of the TV in favour of artwork, gallery walls, mirrors and more.
shades of green. A colour related to life, renewal, nature, and energy, green is also associated with meanings of growth, harmony, freshness and safety, and will be a big colour in design.
