Noize’s First-Ever Design Collab Is With Mega-Influencer Tezza (Win!)

Canadian cruelty-free brand Noize has teamed with mega influencer Tezza and her husband Cole to design a collection of beautiful coats and more, called Lost in the Sounds, for both women and men. We chatted with the couple to find out more, and are giving you a chance to win a piece from the collection! —Noa Nichol

Hi Tezza and Cole! Please tell us a bit about yourselves to start.

We are creatives from Utah who have known each other since birth. Tezza has always been incredibly artistic, painting, singing, playing music and taking photos since she was a kid and she eventually studied fine art photography in college. Cole’s background is more in tech and design, always taking web page design courses and working on apps, and eventually studying computer science in college. We both have a deep love of music and Cole actually played in Tezza’s band before we started dating. That’s actually really where we started to fall in love and realized we had an amazing creative connection. We now run our company together, which is called Tezza, that consists of a photo + video editing app, curated printed art collections and we do a tonne of photography and creative direction for other brands as well. 

How did this collaboration between yourselves and Noize come about? What made it the perfect fit?

Cole and I were working with Noize back in 2019 and we were so blown away by the quality and sustainability of their pieces. When Noize approached us to collaborate, we were so excited, it was so much fun for us! We have similar styles when it comes to fashion and we liked the idea of making pieces that can work together on couples. We sometimes share clothes so it made sense for us to look at the collection as a whole and create pieces we would both want to wear.

What is the significance of the name, Lost in the Sounds? What is the inspiration behind the collection?

Cole and I fell in love while playing in a band together. Music has always been our strongest source of inspiration, the places it can take you, the way it makes you feel, the way it brings people together. We wanted a phrase that represented the way the collection made us feel, the way we feel when we are out best and most creative selves, lost in the sounds.

What items are offered (for women and men) in the collection?

This collection was inspired by the desire for timeless classics. Things that stay in your closet for years that are bold and strong, and essential. The perfect transitional pieces to style as the seasons change from fall to winter. Inspired by some of our favourite style icons and musicians, vintage cuts and fits, we created looks that we always hope to find when shopping. We were so excited to bring this collection to life with Noize using sustainable fabrics and vegan leathers, paying attention to fit and detail. We hope they become a part of your forever collection.

How did you incorporate both style and sustainability into these designs?

When designing each piece we thought about how it could be dressed up or dressed down, how one could layer it, really making pieces that most everyone could find something in the collection to match their style with the quality being something that you will have in your closet forever. The best part is that the whole collection is vegan and cruelty free, with many styles made using environmentally friendly materials such as vegan leathers, vegan furs and REPREVE. We tried to keep the styles feeling timeless and classic so they last longer than just a quick trend in your wardrobe.

What are you most proud of, when it comes to this collection?

Creating a collection that we honestly think people are going to love and feel good in! The reason we fell in love with fashion was because of the way it makes us feel, the confidence, the attitude, the expression that comes from a good outfit. I think we have created something that will give people those feelings while also feeling good about buying something that is thoughtfully produced and created.

What one piece will each of you be rocking this fall/winter from the Lost in the Sounds collaboration with Noize?

Cole: The Carmel trench; it’s the perfect transition piece, something that will never go out of style and perfect for layering.

Tezza: The Blue Penny Lane jacket; every season I have my staple piece, the one I can put on and know it’s going to be a showstopper. This jacket is iconic and one I will be wearing a lot this year.
