Dia de los Muertos—Day of the Dead—is a lively Mexican holiday (it falls on November 2 this year) that honours the dead with festivals and celebrations and has gained popularity globally. With the assurance that the dead would prefer to see their lives celebrated instead of seeing mourning or sadness, Dia de los Muertos pays tribute to them with food, drink, parties and activities the dead enjoyed in life. On this day, the dead are also a part of the community, awakened from their eternal sleep to share celebrations with their loved ones. The celebrations are held over two days with lots of bright colours and positivity. While we may not be able to celebrate the day as we traditionally have, we can still find ways to honour this tradition—with delicious drinks, like the three below from our amigos at Hornitos Tequila. —Vita Daily
