All I Want For Christmas Is Hair Care

December 21, 2021

If you know me, you know that the way to my heart is through my … hair! Obsessed with all the products (and willing to try any newness), I’ve got hair care at the top of my Christmas wish list this year, including the following items I’m most keen to find under the tree (and in my shower caddy). —Noa Nichol

Kérastase’s Sérum Universel Chronologiste ($250) uses something called biomimetic caviar encapsulation alongside hyaluronic acid, abyssine and vitamin E at their purest potency to hydrate, thicken and plump. It’s a high-end hair gift, certainly, but it’s worth it!

With bonding all the rage (hair is made up of chemical bonds; bond-repair products can help fix them and improve hair health by using similar chemistry), Redken’s Acidic Bonding Concentrate Holiday Trio ($65) provides ultimate strength repair, intense conditioning and hair colour-fade protection.

My holiday dream, really, is to be able to flat-iron my curly hair with minimal effort. The Bio Ionic One Pass Styling Iron ($265) uses patented silicone strips and moisturizing heat tech to deliver smooth, shiny, healthy-looking styles—in just one stroke. By gently gripping the hair, rather than clamping it between plates, there’s no pulling, snagging or breaking strands, to boot.

The ghost of Christmas present! Verb Ghost Oil ($20) is a vanishing daily restorative that revitalizes hair from roots to ends. This integrated moringa oil blend enriches the hair shaft with essential nutrients that naturally smooth frizz and promote radiant shine for all hair types.

I’m obsessed with Olaplex, and this Complete Hair Repair System ($196), with all of the brand’s incredible products (from its No.0 Intensive Bond Building Treatment to the No.3 Hair Perfector, the No.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo and No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner, a full-size No.6 Bond Smoother, No.7 Styling Oil and the No.8 Bond Intense Moisture Mask) in a cute pouch, would be a truly hair-raising treat to receive this holiday season.

Amika’s Blowout Buffet Blow Dryer Brush Set ($104) is efficiency meets beauty (my holiday 2021 vibe) with the powers of a round brush and blowdryer to easily achieve a bouncy, smooth, salon-worthy blowout. With three adjustable heat and speed settings, the brush works to create volume and smoothness on all hair types for customized styling.

I’m lusting after the Dyson Supersonic’s latest flyaway attachment ($50), which promises to hide flyaways under longer hair for a smooth, shiny finish … with just air.
