tissue tip 1. I was thrilled to be asked to design a new line of Scotties tissue boxes because they are a staple that we all need throughout our homes. They provide a great opportunity to add a pop of colour and style to an otherwise blank space. They can bring a colourful hue to a plain bookcase, liven up a kitchen back splash or bring a hit of unexpected style to a front hall table.

tissue tip 2. Our patterns were created with design-conscious consumers in mind. The modernist will love the graphic black and the delicate white tissue boxes. Lovers of colour will appreciate the country blue, soft coral, mauve and muted sage greens used in multiple patterns. All our colours are on trend for the way we decorate today. We used our favourite paint brands as reference points and considered the most popular shades our followers love to use on their walls, cabinets, and counters, including natural woods that are so popular for built-ins and furniture.

tissue tip 3. Sometimes it’s fun to play against type. I placed my favourite Scotties box from the series on my bedside table. The bold mustard pattern, reminiscent of mudcloth, looks fabulous on my antique night table.

tissue tip 4. You don’t have to lay your tissue box down, laterally. Try standing it up vertically against your kitchen backsplash for a new look. Have fun with your tissue boxes. Show them off and wait for the compliments!
