A new restaurant, Casa Madera, opened April at 1 Hotel Toronto by Noble 33 hospitality group, has launched a Pride cocktail called La Bandera ($21) for June.
Made of El Tesoro Blanco, passionfruit and mint, the drink was created by Noble 33’s VP of operations, Charity Johnston. The cocktail’s ingredients are picked fresh from the restaurant’s own garden, located just outside.
As this cocktail is for Pride, a percentage of sales made from every purchase will be donated to The 519, a city organization dedicated to advocacy for LGBTQ communities in Toronto. Cheers! —Noa Nichol
