That’so Self-Tan Tips & Tricks (Win!)

What products are currently offered in the That’so self-tan range, who are they for and what makes them unique?

Sprays and mousses have different intensities from ultra-light to extra dark depending on the needs of each customer. How do we know which shades of self tanner to go for?

If you have a pale or fair skin and/or just want a subtle glow, then choose our dark shade (Glam body dark, On the go dark, On the go clear, Golden age, Golden Beauty). If you have a medium skin tone or if your skin is naturally tan and/or you want a very dark bronzed colour, chose our darker shades (Glam body extra dark, On the go extra dark).

What are your top tips for perfect application and best results?

Follow a tanning routine:

1. Exfoliate with the Tan extender scrub (the day before or 8 hours before)
2. Right after exfoliating, moisturize with a fragrance-free moisturizer
3. Next day or 8 hours later, apply your favourite That’so bronzer with the mitt
4. Moisturize daily when you get out of the shower using the Gradual tanning moisturizer to maintain and give a boost to your tan due to the 2 per cent DHA in this moisturizer
5. Start the routine again every 5-6 days

Any big, top three dos and don’ts for self-tanning product use?

After your tan application make sure your skin DOES NOT go in contact with water or moisture for the following four hours. I highly suggest not doing any form of activity that could make you sweat! DO NOT apply your tan too frequently; excessive layers of tan could create a buildup. Follow the tanning routine! DO NOT apply too much tan on the areas where your skin is drier or on the joints, e.g., knees, elbows, ankle, hands and feet. DO Apply your tan 48 hours before an event! It will be at its best!
