Canadian Avant-Garde streetwear designer Dorian Who has started summer with a bang with the launch of her latest collection.
The new range features the recognizable silhouettes the label is known for, and is slow-made by Dorian and her team in Toronto using deadstock fabrics. To launch the collection the brand presented its SS22 offering in Los Angeles at an open-air rooftop runway show, including the introduction of more gender-fluid menswear inspired separates that will add that signature Dorian look to any wardrobe.
The latest drop also includes enormous collars in expertly chosen textiles that are easily worn atop any outfit, for a cool-girl fashion-forward pop. This latest addition joins her trademark padded headbands that feel a bit more like crowns than the normal headpieces—but that is the Dorian Who way. Basic is not in this brand’s vocabulary. With these new collars (and headbands), fashion fans and newcomers to the label can dip their toe into Dorian’s world and add a good dose of the maximalism to their own aesthetic. Just in time for summer. —Lauren Walker-Lee
