Another month has come and gone and it’s time for my monthly faves round-up. While, on the West Coast, summer seems to be taking its sweet time coming, that doesn’t mean I’m not diving head-first into new releases, from haircare to fresh scents. Below are some of my fave new discoveries for the month of June. —Vicki Duong
st tropez. When it comes to a golden glow, I always opt for a sun-safe option. Lately my go-to is the St. Tropez Self Tan Luxe Whipped Creme Mousse ($59) for that just-got-home-from-vacay look. Not only does this formula leave a streak-free finish, but it’s infused with hyaluronic acid to soothe and hydrate your skin. Golden glow, here we come!
voir haircare. Keeping your tresses healthy can be a bit more difficult on sunny days, but Voir’s newest collection encourages you to get out into the sun. A Walk In The Sun Repairing Masque ($26) intensively repairs and restores damaged hair by treating your strands from the inside out. Use it as a replacement for conditioner for an extra dose of hydration, or wear it as masque for deep repair.
ardell. Give your lashes the gift of lift with Ardell’s Light As Air collection ($9/pair). Not only does it provide natural-looking fluffy volume, but its weightless innovation is also lighter than its competitors. An invisible band also provides an effortlessly glam va-va-voom to any makeup look so light that you’ll forget your wear falsies.
u beauty. One of our fave skincare lines, U Beauty has entered into the bodycare market with their Super Body Hydrator ($128), the ultimate treat for distressed skin. It provides a deep boost of moisture backed by a science-formulated formula that decreases water loss and smooths rough and dry patches.
diptyque. Switching out my fragrance for warm weather seems to be what really marks a new season for me. The new Ilio Eau de Toilette ($205) from Diptyque has been my latest obsession. Inspired by summers spent in the Mediterranean, the blend has notes of prickly pears, lemongrass, irises and bergamot. Plus a unique illustration makes this limited edition fragrance a #shelfie staple.
versed. Not all toners are made the same, and lately my fave is the Weekend Glow ($25) from Versed. The toner delivers brightness and treats hyperpigmentation while a gentle formula leaves your skin feeling cleansed without stripping your natural oils. I also love the press-down pump that allows a precise amount, minimizing waste.
fenty beauty. Lip products that provide two looks in one not only saves space in our vanity but also leaves less of an impact on our wallet. The Fenty Beauty Poutsicle Hydrating Lip Stain ($30) is a new transformative lip product that I’ll be reaching for all summer-long. Upon application it leaves a pigmented glossy finish that wears down to a light stain for a low-maintenance look.
supergoop. While sunscreen is a year-round essential, I love to amp up the glow in the summer with Supergoop’s Glowscreen ($), an SPF 40 that leaves a dewy glow that leaves your skin looking lit from within. Plus, due to popular demand they have recently launched Glowscreen in Golden Hour, a bronzed finish better suited for deeper skin tones or those looking for a sunkissed finish.
biolage. With the days of non-stop rain not coming to an end any day soon, adding humidity-resistant products to my haircare routine is a must have. I’ve been reaching for the Air Dry Glotion ($25) from Biosance, specifically for light hold and enhances shape and shine even through the most humid days.
stila cosmetics. When it comes to makeup in the summer, I am a one-and-done type of gal. That’s why I love the Liquid Eyeshadows ($31) from Stila, an easy to use doe-foot applicator formula that can be blended out with fingertips alone. My go-to shade is Grace, a shimmery rosey taupe that can be worn on its own or as a shadow topper for an added oompf.
