natural bedding. Choosing all-natural bedding such as bamboo, organic cotton, linen and wool is now a must when it comes to the design of your bedroom. Natural bedding is hypoallergenic and free of chemicals and pesticides, which is ideal for your family.

custom and built-in headboards. The headboard is the biggest statement in the bedroom, so investing in something that is perfectly designed for your lifestyle, and personal taste is a must. From adding custom storage options, to feature walls, to extra soft upholstery, bed built-ins are a fantastic way to eliminate clutter, have a long lasting focal point in your room and, best of all, gain additional space and storage.

bed making. Our sleep affects our overall health, mood and energy, so it’s no wonder that our beds have become one of our biggest concerns. Bed styling and layers have become a major focal point. Beginning with a mattress cover, to a fitted and flat sheet, duvet and duvet cover, to a throw, coverlet or bedspread, there is nothing like climbing into a stylish but comfortable bed.

calm, light and airy; simplifying the room. Our bedrooms have become our sanctuaries, and creating a calm, light, and soothing space where we can relax at the end of a long day, is one of our clients’ biggest priorities. Many clients are removing blue-light electronics such as TVs that suppress the secretion of melatonin. They’re replacing them with sound machines, essential oil diffusers and blackout blinds. Keeping the room simple, clean and airy, and using light, earthy hues has become fundamental in our designs. Reds, oranges, pinks and purples are avoided as they are thought to be too stimulating. Keeping patterns to tone on tone and organic weaves, instead of bright and overwhelming prints, creates interest in a simple and restful way.

the power of plants. Plants can boost your mood, reduce your stress levels, increase the humidity in the room, naturally purify the air and produce oxygen. Plants have become a critical element of design by bringing life into every room with endless benefits, so it’s no surprise that they have become a go-to decorative element for many designers, not only in bedrooms but in any space.
