Fave Fall Fragrances For Home & Wear

October 5, 2022

While autumn has a colour palette and temperature that dictates the way we dress and updates our beauty routine we often forget that fragrance is something that can also be deeply tied to the season. Below are some of our fave fall scents to wear and to fill our homes with. —Vicki Duong

To Wear

ariana grande beauty. A follow-up to the popular Cloud, the 2.0 Intense ($80) from Ariana Grande Beauty has become an instant cult-classic and Tik Tok fave. Muskier than the original, the 2.0 features whipped cream and vanilla for sweetness and cashmeran and pear for an unexpected twist that will leave everyone asking what you have on.

gucci beauty. When it comes to a product that only only wears well, but looks great on display, Gucci Beauty knows a thing or two about aesthetics. Their newest perfume addition, Flora Gorgeous Jasmine ($186 for 3.3 oz) is housed in a beautiful turquoise glass bottle with a goldtone lid and floral motif. The fragrance itself is a classic floral scent with jasmine being the base note with mongolia and mandarin as top notes.

fenty. Canucks rejoice, Fenty Eau de Parfum ($215) is finally available to purchase to Canadians. Known for her intoxicated scent, Rihanna has managed to bottle her essence in an amber bottle with notes of musk and bulgarian rose for a spicy sweet scent paired with unexpected vanilla and patchouli for a unique aroma.

tom ford. When it comes to fall scents, tobacco is a classic choice for anyone. While it fetches a less than budget-friendly price tag, the Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille ($485 for 3.4 oz) is often imitated, never duplicated with its blend of creamy tonka bean, cocoa and wood sap for a confident and sexy scent.

kilig. One of our fave local brands recently went through a glow-up with new branding and new scents for fall. An instant classic and must-have is their new Cashmere Rollerball ($34), a luxe blend of sandalwood, ylang ylang, benzoin and cinnamon. The scent involks warmth and sophistication while an oil formula lingers for hours.

For The Home

mala. While we might not be heading off to a weekend getaway quiet yet we can create the ambiance of a cosy trip with Mala’s Chalet candle ($38). With notes of citrus, amber and sandalwood transport yourself to a secluded location in the Swiss Alps – well not really, but we can dream, right?

diptyque. Add the scent of fresh florals to your home without the maintenance with this limited edition home diffuser set from Diptyque. The Tubéreuse ($128) scent smells like rich florals paired with cream and hints of fruit that suit any home year-round. We also love adding diffusers to our home for an all-day fresh fragrance/

zaleska x homecoming. Not only does the Zaleska x Homecoming ($38) collab add an inviting scent of traditional incense to your home but the vessel is designed to add glow to any corner or dark nook. The hand-poured candle is housed in a white vessel with a gold rim that reflects candle light that enhances the amount of light each burn gives off.

dans un jardin. Welcome autumn into your home, literally with Bonjour L’automne ($27) a three-wick candle from Montreal brand, Dans Un Jardin. This candle contains classic fall scents like red apple cider, gingerbread and marshmallow that will invoke memories of the holiday season and nights around the fireplace.

lily lou’s aromas. Sometimes a touch of something spooky is just what your home needs leading up to Halloween. We are loving the Spice Ghouls collection from Lily Lou’s Aromas which includes seasonal scented candles and max melts. Our personal fave is the Enchantress Candle ($48) that boasts a blend of caramel and pumpkin spice in an onyx keepsake vessel.
