While we certainly love getting our spook on at Playland Fright Nights, our littles were a little too scared to attend that event. Happily, this year, the amusement park is hosting a brand-new, family-friendly Halloween event, Tricks & Treats!
On October 29 and 30 from noon till 4 p.m., Tricks & Treats will offer rides, games, a candy scavenger hunt, and other surprises along the way! This brand-new experience is ideal for kids and scaredy-cat adults. Playland will be decorated with Halloween-themed props in a style that can be described as “Candyland meets Tim Burton” and guests are encouraged to wear costumes and participate in a trick-or-treating scavenger hunt. There will be 10 stops throughout Playland. For children who are a bit older, but aren’t quite ready for Fright Nights, three of the Playland haunted houses will be open, but the monsters will be resting (reducing the chance of scares).
Twenty Playland rides will also be open and included in your admission including family-favourites like Flutterbye, Dizzy Drop and Balloon Explorers. For thrill seekers, Atmosfear, the Beast, the Wooden Coaster and the Pirate Ship will all be open.
Last but not least, the food! Enjoy terrific treats like vampire cookies, a bloody orange brownie sundae, zombie fingers, eyeball soup and more! Kudos to Playland for including all the wee witches and goblins in the fun this year! —Vita Daily
