Top 10 Cosy At Home Picks

October 27, 2022

When it starts to feel like fall on the West Coast, our brains turn to staying in and keeping cosy. We’re thinking of nights curled up on the couch with our favourite book or bingeing our fave Netflix show. Below are some of our cosy essentials to keep us oh-so-comfy as temps begin to drop. —Vicki Duong

vitruvi. With cooler temps the air can start to nip at your hair and skin leaving you feeling drier than usual. Fret note, air care brand, Vitruvi, has you covered with Cloud ($229), a humidifier with an ultrasonic mist that fills your home. Benefits include hydrating your skin and hair for better glow and texture, reduces the likelihood of snoring by relieving congestion and even alleviates allergy symptoms!

free label. Part of relaxing at home entails our favourite thing, which is joining the #NoBraClub. Still looking for a bit of support or an easy layering piece? No problem, Free Label bras (starting at $89) are a chic way to keep your ta-ta’s tamed or as a layering piece. We also appreciate the added versatility of each piece that can be worn frontwards or backwards giving you two silhouettes in one, also every style is available up to a size 5X.

diptyque. Spending more time at home inspires us to keep our space tidy. For an added touch of sophistication, we’ve been loving the La Droguerie cleaning line from Diptyque. The dishwashing liquid ($54) has become a staple in our cleaning routine. The elegant glass bottle adds visual appeal to our sinks while a blend of orange blossom, mandarin and basil adds a sweet scent. Best of all? Refill pouches are available for an eco-friendly option!

jeamont skincare. Spending more time at home is also the perfect excuse to squeeze in a bit more TLC. While we love under eye masks, we don’t always love how wasteful they can be so imagine our delight when we discovered the So Eye-ronic Eye Masks ($33), a reusable pair of eye masks with cheeky sayings like ‘selfie care.’ They can be used with your serums and eye creams to lock in the ingredients and then rinsed to be reused. Want to take it up a notch? We love storing ours in the fridge to make them extra-cooling.

paper label. Stay wrapped up in cosiness with this alpaca and wool-blend sweater from Vancouver-based Paper Label ($150). We adore this oversized fit that layers effortlessly over our fave tees and tanks while the popcorn bouclé yarn adds texture and visual interest. Our fave colour is the ash green, a classic dusty olive perfect for our next night out or in.

selv rituel. Soaking in a nice bubble bath is one of our favourite ways to unwind but our delicate skin is always in search of the perfect formula. Our go-to as of late is the biodegradable-blend from Selv Rituel ($24). With several delicious scents, each bottle leaves your bathroom feeling like a spa with a rich aroma. Our personal fave is Blomst, a blend of lilac and lily of the valley.

fungal friend. Whether you’re new to microdosing or a well-versed user, Fungal Friend makes it easy for you to customise your results with a variety of blends ranging from low to higher intensity. For chill nights at home, we’ve been reaching for the Rise ($50), their lowest dose aimed to boost your energy while alleviating stress with a blend of ginseng, reishi and more.

good for sunday. Kicking back and relaxing requires the perfect fit and lounge pants are essential. We’re living in our pair of wide-leg cotton slub pants ($98) from Good For Sunday, the perfect relaxed fit pants with a drawstring waist for added comfort. Whether paired with a classic tee or the matching Slub Shirt ($125), these pants are designed for versatility.  Plus, the line is designed and ethically-produced in Toronto!

flax home x dana mooney. When it comes to bedding, we’re big fans of linen. Not only does it soften over time, but the natural fibre keeps you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. This fall we’re updating our bedspread with a pop of colour while supporting Canadian art with their collab Euro Shams ($150 for a set of two) featuring hand-painting abstract art by Dana Mooney. Bedtime never looked so chic.

lush cosmetics. Transport yourself to a serene mental headspace when you light a scented candle ($18) from Lush. Crafted after their most popular scents, each candle is crafted with a  blend of rapeseed, coconut and castor waxes housed in a frosted glass. Our fave scent is Sleepy to fill our home with calming lavender and soothing ylang ylang and The Olive Branch, a bright and cherry citrus blend.
