The gifts we love best are those that feel like they were chosen with care. If you have a wellness lover in your life, here’s a list of some incredibly thoughtful ways (if I do say so myself!) to show how much you get them. And isn’t that all anybody really wants, anyways? JK. Opening a gift–or gift card–is also the best.
They say the best present is presence, which is why giving a meaningful experience shows a lot of love. If you have a person in your life who wants to make a shift, maybe in their career, energy level, or relationships, The Collective Shift is the perfect gift for anyone ready to step onto their higher path. You’ll be giving your friend three months of guided (online) experiences, including a month of Kundalini yoga, a month of guided breathwork, and a variety of empowering visioning and manifestation workshops with top healers. The perfect experience to do together. You can sign up here.
A candle that tells your friend she’s actually your soul sister, my all-time favourite candle is the Sister Sister Candle by Canvas Candle Co. in Vancouver. This candle makes your whole room smell incredible, and it lasts quite a long time. The perfect symbol of female bonding. (Hint, hint friends!)
Cosy wear. Is it even possible to be too fuzzy? Fleece is not going anywhere, my friends, so if you have a lover of cosy wear in your life, you’ll win their hearts with this Free People pullover, which comes in a bunch of patterns or solid colours.
A gift card for reflexology and sauna. I’ve become a huge fan of Hastings Reflexology & Sauna. You can get an hour long foot rub followed by an hour in a private sauna for less than $100! It’s a clean yet pretty casual atmosphere downtown Vancouver. For a slightly more luxe experience, you could opt for a gift card to Art of Sauna in Burnaby, Thai Smile Wellness on Robson or Scandinave Spa in Whistler.
A facial is one of my fav gifts to receive. The best holistic facial I’ve had is with Wildflower Beauty Bar in Port Moody and lucky for you, she had gift cards. This spa offers facial gua sha, facial readings, and facial energetics, perfect for those who want to understand the link between their skin and overall health. If you have a holistic beauty lover in your life, a gua sha board, or even a facial oil make for a very thoughtful gift.
Apothecary gifts are the best. I’m a huge fan of Ceremonial Cacao as a gift, as well as blue lotus tea for intuition, and this happiness tonic looks fab! This local online apothecary carries some great brands. You could pick a few and make up a personalized gift basket.
Receiving a transformational spiritual book is the best. My go-to’s to give are The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer, Becoming Supernatural by Dr. Joe Dispenza, and this year, I’ve been giving How to Be Loving, by Danielle LaPorte. –Monica Krake, breathwork facilitator and founder of Head + Heart, your guide to living aligned
