How does it feel to be the face of Giorgio Armani My Way and makeup?

I am very happy and very proud to be part of this family. It was a genuine collaboration as we share the same love for cinema, and I fell in love with their beauty products many years ago.

How does Armani beauty align with your own vision of beauty?

Mr. Armani said, “I believe that beauty comes first from within” and I have always believe in that too. I am glad that I have found beauty products that reveal natural beauty.

What does the Armani woman represent for you?

The Armani woman to me is bold, independent, confident, and fearless. When I am wearing My Way I feel like I am putting on my armor, ready to explore the day whenever I’m wearing it.

Last September, you attended the 79th Venice International Film Festival with Armani beauty, a main sponsor of the festival. How was this experience for you?

It was amazing! It was the first time for me. I was very happy to be there to celebrate both Giorgio Armani’s life-long love of the cinema and beauty products that I love, Luminous Silk Foundation and Lip Power.

As someone who is used to travelling, what are the Armani beauty essentials that you carry everywhere?

My Way fragrance, Luminous Silk Foundation and Lip Power shade 104. These are my 3 must have.

What emotions does My Way Parfum’s fragrance evoke for you?

I feel joyful and alive. It is a fresh fragrance, and it encapsulates the experiences and travels that I’ve made.

What are your favourite notes within My Way Parfum, and what do you like about them?

I love vanilla because it is everywhere in my life. I have vanilla candles, and I love eating anything with vanilla in it.

How would you define the My Way philosophy? How do you personally relate to it?

My Way is about carving your own path. Every experience I made, made me grow as a person and actress. So, MY WAY is an invitation to explore new horizons and thus reconnect to your true self.

Why do you think people today tend to value experiences more than acquiring things?

Experiences are about self-discovery. Every time I travel, I learn something about the culture, and I also learn more about myself. What I love with experiences is that I can share them with my family, my friends, and my crews and it create connections between ourselves and common memories that will last forever.  

If you could relive a significant moment in your life, which one would you choose, and why?

That’s such a hard question! I am not sure I could pick just one.

Do you have a favourite memory from the My Way shoot?

The whole shoot felt like a dream! From the breathtaking places we went to kind people I worked with, and story we told, I hold all of it in my heart.

You’ve been a fan of My Way for a while now, where has My Way been with you?

Everywhere I went the last two years. From Canada, Spain to Italy through Morocco. I have the travel size of My Way EDP, which follows me everywhere. I can be shooting or on holiday, I always have a My Way with me. 

What fragrance notes do you tend to gravitate toward? Why?

The cedarwood, because it is a sensual and creamy note, and I grew up by a lake surrounded by cedar trees, so it reminds me home. Smelling My Way, bring me back home. And the beautiful florals, too.

How has your relationship with fragrance changed over the years?

I have always tended to try to create environments with a scent, memories that you can almost touch, and feelings you can evoke through scents. I have been very consistent with my love of vanilla and florals, campfires, and home, so My Way was a beautiful mixture of everything I have loved for a long time.

What is your everyday makeup look? What are your go-to products?

I love natural fresh look. My go to products are Luminous Silk Foundation shade 4, Lip Power shade 104 and the Neo Nude blush for rosy cheeks.

What do you like about Luminous Silk Foundation?

My makeup artist Melissa Hernandez introduced Luminous Silk Foundation to me 6 years ago and since then it is my must have. I have a very sensitive skin, so it suits me perfectly and it gives a natural and radiant glow. When I apply it, it feels satin-like, and it is very light weight. Even though I am wearing foundation, I can feel that my skin is breathing. 

What is your go-to Armani lipstick?

Lip Power! It is super easy to apply thanks to the bullet. Even in a hurry you cannot make any mistake! For my day to day, I love to wear the shade 104. If I feel more fears or glamourous, I always love red lips, and the shade 400 is iconic.

Can you share any makeup tips or tricks you have learned from working with makeup artists?

There are no rules. You can do anything with confidence.

What is the best beauty advice you’ve ever received and who gave it to you?

Honestly anything my makeup artist, Melissa Hernandez, has told me I live by. She has taught me how to spread out my foundation before applying, warming up my concealer with my fingers so it applies smoothly, how to blend my lip liner, always wash my face, there’s so much!

What was your first experience with Armani beauty makeup? First memory of makeup?

Six years ago, my makeup artist introduced it to me and, I though how I have never heard before about this beauty secret!

What is your favourite secure beauty “hack”?

Using my Neo Nude blush as blush, eyeshadow tint, and lip tint for days I am not traveling with a big makeup bag!

How has your beauty routine changed since you started your career?

It evolves every year I feel, not just from being an actress, but growing as a woman too. I have learned so much about different products, techniques, and skin care.

Would you describe yourself as a beauty junkie or makeup minimalist? What does that mean to you?

Makeup minimalist. I love natural beauty look.

What beauty tricks have you learned from social media? Any beauty trends you love?

Right now, I have been saving and watching a bunch of hair tutorials or hair health videos!

A career in the film industry is made of meaningful connections; are there certain encounters that have particularly shaped your path?

I have been very fortunate to have worked with so many incredibly talented, and kind people on this journey. From the crews, the cast, amazing fans, everyone has had a part in shaping this world.

In what ways has your acting style been influenced by the different directors you have worked with?

I think every experience is very personal for each director and character of mine. They all bring out different sides of me, and I love learning how they approach their craft. Hoping to take pieces of what they see, how they see it, and put it into my own.

In your career thus far, you have chosen roles with depth and impact. How do you choose your roles?

I love to find characters that challenge both me, and the audience. I am really excited for these movies I have been working on for the past year because they are all unique to themselves and go on such distinct journeys.

Do brands’ commitments to sustainability influence your choices as a consumer?

Yes. We know that climate change is an important issue. What I love about My Way is that it supports a forest preservation program to reduce carbon footprint.

What are some of the everyday actions you recommend taking to keep the planet’s future in mind?

I try as much as possible to be sustainable. What I love with MY WAY is that the bottle is eco-conceived and refillable, and so beautiful. So, I am happy to know that I do not throw away the bottle, but I keep it endlessly just by refilling it. I would recommend using more and more refillable products. With My Way for example, you can reduce by 50% the plastic use with one refill, instead of buying a new fragrance.

Among Armani beauty’s commitments to sustainability is forest preservation in Madagascar, where Giorgio Armani’s Acqua for Life initiative also operates. How important is it for you to raise awareness of this initiative and its mission to deliver universal access to drinking water?

Water is fundamental as no one can live without. I am very proud to collaborate with a brand that has been helping people in water scare regions for 13 years now and has helped more than 450,000 people getting access to clean water. As the new Face of Armani, I am proud to raise awareness about this issue.
