Kate Spade New York has launched its first-ever collaboration with Pantone, the global authority on colour. Intrinsic to the Kate Spade DNA, the colour green has been at the heart of the brand since the beginning. The newly minted colour developed by Pantone, dubbed Kate Spade Green, is a modern ode to that heritage, evoking the spirit of possibility and optimism that the brand has been known for the past 30 years.
Infused with energy and freshness, the distinctive nature of the colour green has withstood changing trends over time and become beloved in the market for its dynamic and bold qualities. To commemorate the Pantone partnership and Kate Spade’s 30th anniversary, the brand’s signature green hue will be integrated across consumer touchpoints starting in Spring 2023, including an exclusive capsule collection filled with bright new handbags, jewelry, footwear, home products, sunglasses and watches. The capsule also includes a limited-edition journal and mug featuring the Pantone colour swatch. The beloved Sam Icon bag, a reimagined version of the timeless 1993 classic, will also be released in the new green as part of the capsule, and for the first time will be created with components of 100 per cent recycled materials.
