Did you know that the May long weekend actually begins with another quintessential Canadian holiday? Every year, National Caesar Day is celebrated on the Thursday before the May long weekend, and marks the count-down to summer! While there is no official way to celebrate National Caesar Day, what better way than to enjoy the unofficial Canadian Cocktail: a refreshing Caesar! Traditionally, Canada’s national cocktail is made with vodka, clam juice, hot sauce, Caesar spices and Worcestershire sauce, served up in a salt-rimmed glass and garnished to your heart’s desire. Now that might be the ordinary Caesar, but how do you make it extraordinary? That takes greatness. As you embark on making your next Caesar, make it extraordinary and peak your curiosity with the Taynton Bay Spirits Pickle Vodka from Invermere, B.C. This salty and dilly pickle vodka will burst through any clamato to make a perfect Caesar before you even add any other ingredients! Recipes below; enjoy! —Vita Daily
