Keeping Up With The Canadians: California Road Trip Edition

June 30, 2023

One of the greatest road trips of our lives took place in California, driving from the northernmost tip of the Golden State all the way down to San Diego. From the untouched splendour of Big Sur, to the prettiest towns (with the prettiest names) dotting the coastline, to the hustle and bustle of big cities like San Fran and L.A., California is without-a-doubt made for driving. And one Canadian who knows this fact first-hand is London, Ontario-born Liz Trinnear.

As part of a new Keeping Up With The Canadians campaign, which shows how “Canadians California,” Liz, who is currently Los Angeles-based, working as the Hollywood correspondent for CTV’s eTalk, takes us along on her recent Cali-based “babymoon” road trip, showing off the many opportunities for outdoor adventure and exploration, beach stops, shopping, thrilling theme parks and iconic landmarks, rolling vineyards and, of course, world-class dining she experienced along the way.

“My reporting for red-carpet events and festivals has taken me all over the state [and], when it comes to road tripping, nothing beats California,” she says in her Keeping Up With The Canadians video, which follows her and her hubby as they cruise Highway 1 in their adorable, sunshine-yellow, vintage VW van. “My husband and I are expecting, so we thought we’d get in one last road trip before baby comes. C’mon!”
