Yes, searches on Etsy for vintage and retro items first saw an uptick in 2020: searches for retro items on Etsy increased by 39 per cent in 2020 (compared to 2019) and searches for vintage items on Etsy increased by 7 per cent in 2020 (compared to 2019). In addition to the thrill of the hunt and wanting to stand out from the crowd, today’s shoppers are increasingly making purchases with their values in mind, and buying vintage is a great way to shop sustainably.
