Hi, beauties! I’m so happy that you’ve landed here. Community is everything to me, and being able to connect in this way to answer your questions means the world.
If you haven’t landed on my Instagram page or listened to my podcast before, allow me to introduce myself: My name is Erin Treloar and I’m a health and wellness coach, meditation teacher, founder of Raw Beauty Co, and host of the Raw Beauty Talks show.
Born and raised in Vancouver, B.C., I struggled with an eating disorder as a teen and young adult. For as long as I can remember, I’ve also navigated life with anxiety. It wasn’t until I started working with my own coach,in my mid-twenties that the trajectory of my life changed forever.
With consistent support, I was able to come home to myself and discover my purpose; I decided to transform my challenges into wisdom to help others create a healthy relationship with their bodies (and lives) through starting my company, Raw Beauty Co., in 2014—first, as an interview series featuring women without makeup, photo editing, and filters.
I didn’t expect the interview series to garner such a strong reaction from people around the world. To support women even further, I became a certified health coach through the Health Coach Institute in 2017. Now, I work with hundreds of women through my one-on-one coaching practice and online programs, which I create in collaboration with leading psychologists and health experts. I also interview people from all over the world on my podcast, where we discuss what it means to be well.
My goal is to help women ditch diet culture, learn to eat intuitively, and understand how to truly take care of themselves–from the inside out. You deserve to thrive in all areas of your life and not be held back by a fear of failure, imperfection, or unrealistic beauty standards, and I’m here to help you step into your fullest and most authentic expression.
Alright, let’s get into the Q&A, shall we?
What is a health and wellness coach?
A health and wellness coach focuses their attention on four distinct areas: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health, helping you to create strategies that will improve multiple areas of your life. Wellness coaches can support people in multiple aspects of life, such as quelling anxiety, reducing binge eating, and identifying one’s purpose. To do so, they use tools like meditation, mindfulness, and breathwork to regulate one’s nervous system, body image work, healthy habit building, and journaling and reflection exercises.
