Allbirds footwear’s latest partnership with London-based fashion designer Olivia Rubin is giving us the best pastel-powered summer sneaker vibes!
Using Allbirds’s Riser silhouette as a canvas, Olivia injected her signature pastel aesthetic to perfectly embody playful, dopamine dressing. Taking inspo from the iconic neighbourhood of London’s Notting Hill, the goal was to give the Riser a joyful makeover, taking cues from the pink, green and pale-blue townhouses. With its sharp angles, accentuated edges, and purposeful details, the Riser collides seamlessly with Rubin’s kaleidoscopic design language. Underpinned by Allbirds’s signature comfort credentials, the shoe features the brand’s suite of natural materials, including organic cotton and ZQ-certified merino wool, a pink Tencel Lyocell ripstop tongue and a natural rubber sole with a rainbow camouflage pattern.
Allbirds, whose mission is to tackle climate change through better business, believes that optimism and impactful storytelling is the key to shifting mindsets when it comes to sustainability. By partnering up with Olivia Rubin, a brand that’s working toward a more sustainable future by minimising waste and over- production, Allbirds wants to showcase that feel-good fashion can have a lighter environmental footprint, too.
