Hidden on the second floor of Vancouver’s only Relais & Chateaux property is one of the city’s most luxurious spas. Despite the Wedgewood Hotel being founded in 1984, the spa is currently celebrating their 20th anniversary by introducing an array of exciting new treatments. The spa offers a variety of treatments including massages, manicures, pedicures, body treatments, as well as facials. Guests can leisurely enjoy the outdoor patio, private lounge, and steam room before or after their appointments. The spa exclusively uses medical grade products, mainly from celebrity-favourite brand Epicuren Discovery.
Co-owner and managing director of the hotel, Elpie Marinakis, felt this milestone was the perfect time to fly in the team from Epicuren to train the spa’s technicians on cutting-edge products and techniques to shake up their existing offerings. Here are a few facials that are some of the highlights from their new menu.
The InjecStem Bio-Firming Facial is known as Epicuren’s “needle-free” facial. This age-defying treatment is safe to be paired before or after surgical procedures. It’s also great for those seeking a significant reduction of wrinkles, sun damage and sagging skin. Using the latest in silver-ion technology, bio-peptides, and stem-cell serums, this potent facial activates cell communication to volumize and uplift the skin.
The Luminous Glow Facial is an ultra-hydrating treatment using powerful moisturizing ingredients that will leave the skin plump and glowing. Using the Epicuren Advanced Colostrum and Moisture Surge products, this facial is perfect for those with sensitive or dry skin. The 90-minute facial includes an illuminating medical-grade hydro-jelly face mask that will maximize the benefits of the facial treatment.
Lastly, the Instant Renewal Glycolic Peel uses a patented 30 per cent Glycolic Peel to slowly deliver exfoliating acids into the skin, reducing the potential for acute inflammation and irritation. This is the perfect treatment for those looking to address texture, scarring, hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles. This treatment is most impactful when done in a series.
