Fable x Jenn Im Stone Blue Has Launched (Win!)

It’s the dish duo of our dreams! Fable has just launched its collaboration with Los Angeles-based content creator and style icon Jenn Im. The collection features Fable’s organically shaped sustainably crafted ceramics in a new limited-edition colour, Stone Blue. Designed in collaboration with Jenn, the Stone Blue Collection draws inspiration from traditional Korean ceramics, taking colour cues from both Celadon and Onggi pottery—a nod to Jenn’s cultural roots. We chatted with Jenn to learn more. —Vita Daily

Hi Jenn! You have collaborated with Fable on a limited-edition ceramics collection in a new colour, Stone Blue; can you tell us about the range, and the inspiration behind it?

The inspiration behind Stone Blue was Korean ceramics. I love the earthy tones and textures that past Korean ceramics have. I definitely wanted a colour that was neutral but was a little different and when I saw this colour, I could not stop thinking about how this stormy blue grey would look on my shelves and dining table.

What made this partnership a perfect fit for you, personally and as an artist?

I am genuinely a fan of the brand. When I think about my personal design aesthetic, I tend to gravitate toward timeless and simple pieces which Fable embodies. And it’s a bonus that their products are also made to last.

For those a little shy when it comes to colour, how and why would you encourage them to a hue like Stone Blue in their kitchens/dining rooms?

I wanted to choose colours that are easy neutrals to match with any colour. I also chose this Stone Blue colour since it reminded me of comfort and community within our home. I hope through this collection you can bring your loved ones together to share delicious meals and memories together.

Trend wise, how do you see colour’s role evolving when it comes to both art and design/decor?

I have been guilty of loving neutrals only, but slowly have warmed up that colour can really add to art and design/décor. While an all neutral colour scheme matches really easily, it can come off safe but with added colour, it can add that cherry on the top that brings the whole look together.

Finally, personal question: how do you bring colour into your own home?

Personally for me, I keep my home very neutral because of the craziness of my daily life. When I’m home I want to be at peace and not be distracted. However, like in fashion, I always like to add pops of colour to my house, whether that’s my dinnerware or flowers. I tend to think of my house as a blank canvas and the décor to be the actual paint and colours of a masterpiece.
