Inspired by the latest breakthrough science, Estée Lauder is intro’ing its new Nutritious Collection: a holistic solution to unburden the look of dull “grumpy” skin. Potent and high performance, and ranging from 92 to 97 per cent naturally derived, the formulas are consciously designed for normal, oily or combination skin with visible imbalances such as enlarged pores, excess oil, irritation, redness and dullness. We chatted with education manager Janice James to learn more. —Vita Daily
Hi Janice! What is the impetus for this new range, and what’s it all
about/who is it for?
Our Nutritious Collection is inspired by the trending field of nutrigenomics and is primarily for normal/oily/combination skin that faces imbalances such as dullness, enlarged pores, excess oil, irritation and redness. Nutrigenomics science is the study of how nutrients impact health, and how a holistic diverse nutrient-based diet is critical for both body and skin to stay healthy. All ingredients were consciously selected to support skin’s health.
How do these products help “grumpy” skin?
A customer with “grumpy” skin often has a hard time describing what is going on with their skin, but they know something is off. It could be dull, clogged, missing the natural glow, yet oily with large pores. It’s often easily irritated or may experience all of these symptoms. This collection is powered by Nutri-9 Complex, a complex of ingredients rich in essential nutrients, vitamins and minerals.
What products will we find in the collection?
The collection consists of four products with unique, sensorial textures: 2-in-1 Foam Cleanser, Radiant Essence Lotion, Airy Lotion and Melting Soft Creme/Mask. Some ingredients include: responsibly sourced sweet kelp, harvested in the wild and cold-pressed in a gentle extraction to preserve its natural nutrients helps minimize excess oil production; responsibility sourced red algae ferment, created from micro-algae grown outdoors and fermented by the power of the sun helps deliver soothing power; and our proprietary coconut water ferment, which is fermented and ultra-purified to increase coconut water’s natural richness in nutrients. This helps skin boost its own natural hyaluronic acid for continuous hydration.
