Hi Darren! Please tell us a bit about yourself to start.
I’m marketing manager for Ann-Louise Jewellers. Ann-Louise jewellers was founded in 1983 with the goal of providing our customers with quality jewellery that offers tremendous value. Over the last 40 years we have expanded to 14 locations across B.C. and Alberta. What makes us unique (at least on the jewellery side of the business) is that we design most our diamond jewellery in house. We feel that this is important because, by designing in-house, not only are we able to create truly unique products, we can create products in a way that gives the customers tremendous value. Our designers meticulously go over every aspect of each piece to not only ensure that each piece is not only atheistically pleasing, but is also comfortable to wear. They are also very particular that just the right amount of materials are used. But we are more than just jewellery. We are also a proud retail partner of some of the most sought-after watch brands including Citizen. We carry an extensive assortment of watches at all of our 14 locations.
Yes, we understand that you carry an absolutely incredible selection of Citizen watches! What do you and your customers appreciate about the brand, and its offerings?
There are so many reasons for our customers (and us) to love Citizen and it’s offerings. I think the biggest thing is Citizen’s Eco-Drive technology. Eco-Drive allows the watch to be powered by light and therefore you don’t have to do a battery change. Citizen also offers tremendous quality across their entire lineup. Their lineup is also very extensive, so it wouldn’t be difficult to find a watch to match anyone’s personal taste.
You currently carry one of our favourite Citizen watches, the Citizen Eco-Drive Promaster Dive 37mm Pink Strap | EO2023-00A; what are some of the features of this watch, and who would love to wear it?
The EO2023-00A specifically is really a unique watch. It’s the perfect blend of classic and modern. The watch is based on a classic dive watch design and features many things you would find on a diver watch, including a screw down crown, a uni-directional bezel, and a 200 meter water resistant rating. But what’s brilliant about this watch is its bold look. The sporty design combines a pink polyurethane strap with a rose-gold case and a grey dial. As a jewelry/timepiece professional, do you have any tips for care/maintenance of our favourite timepieces?
In terms of tips for care and maintenance for Citizen Eco-Drive specifically, well, these watches are very well made and require very little maintenance. There’s really not much to it other than wear the watch every day and enjoy!
