The devastating wildfires across B.C.’s Okanagan have left us feeling rather helpless and unsure how to be of service.
In the spirit of community and support award-winning Blasted Church Vineyards is donating all tasting fees from September 8 to 10 to Red Cross Canada and taking donations for ALERT (Animal Lifeline Emergency Response Team). On those days, visitors to the winery can enjoy live music on the patio overlooking those stunning vineyard views, sip our favourite wines and raise much needed funds for great causes. Sadly, Blasted Church’s highly anticipated 7 Deadly Sins event planned this autumn has been postponed until 2024 due to the wildfires, and instead the team has shifted their focus to these charitable initiatives.
Can’t make it to the winery in person? Folks can still donate online plus support businesses like Blasted Church impacted by the wildfires by ordering wines from the website for delivery to our homes. —Catherine Dunwoody
